Shala is Sanskrit and means School. We are a Yoga School located in the Heart of Aarhus of 16 years, and we love our Shala. When we are not occupied teaching, you can meet us here in the hours mentioned here below. Pass by and we'll make you a cup of tee. We look forward meeting you.

“You do not have to be agile or have a particularly good condition to start working with children’s yoga…”

♥ We continue with our very popular children’s yoga teacher training for you who want to be a children’s yoga teacher. The education is divided into several modules, and gives you a basic knowledge of yoga and enables you to apply children’s yoga and meditation within your pedagogical work with children and young people.

♥ The education is aimed at everyone who wants to learn to teach children’s yoga, both educators, primary school teachers and other staff who work with children and young people on a daily basis, but also everyone else who wants to learn how to do children’s yoga and meditation. Maybe you are already a yoga practitioner or yoga teacher and want to get the children’s part connected, or maybe you just feel called to work with children and young people in a present and empathetic way. As a bonus, you get in touch with your own inner child and rediscover the joy of play and body awareness.

♥ You do not need prior knowledge of yoga to attend the course. During the course you will be introduced to basic yoga techniques and how to communicate these to different age groups of children and young people.

♥ Children’s yoga is a combination of stretching exercises, dynamic exercises, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. We are based on the universe of kundalini yoga and apply mantra, concepts and structure from this yoga form combined with classic hatha yoga postures.

♥ You do not have to be agile or have a particularly good condition to start working with children’s yoga, but you must want to use your body and to play and be present with the children through the body. It is a great advantage if you also want to start learning a little yoga on an adult level, as it gives more depth and authenticity compared to when you do yoga with the children.
